The vast majority of our work is done in small working committees with about 3-5 members. We are always looking for and appreciate volunteers to help carry out the work of these committees.  The function and membership of these committees are as follows:

 

Scholarship Committee - Coordinate with Mapua University on scholarship issues, remit funds to MU for scholars’ tuition, select new scholars, and communicate with past and present scholars.

Education Committee - Create and implement programs to further the education and career of beneficiaries, including EIT and PE review classes, mentoring, job opportunities and networking.

Ways and Means Committee - Organize, coordinate and manage non-sporting fundraising and social events such as summer picnics, Christmas parties, casino trips, small-group fundraisers, dinner-dances, and other activities.

Sports Committee - Establish and lead fundraising campaigns through sporting events such as golf and basketball, and promote SCMA’s goodwill and camaraderie through sports.

On-line Systems Committee - Create and maintain a coordinated set of on-line systems for central filing, on-line meeting, media storage, electronic payments, facebook, youtube, and other apps.

Website/Newsletter Committee - Collect articles for and prepare newsletters, coordinate and monitor press releases, and lead preparation, maintenance, moderation and upkeep of SCMA’s Website.

Constitution Committee - Take up, consider, research and deliberate on issues pertaining to the Constitution and By-laws, draft amendments, and manage the ratification process.
