Providing free Engineer-in-Training review classes to young engineers aspiring to pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and be granted a California Engineer-in-Training Certificate is one of the most popular SCMA programs. A review course typically consists of eight classes held on consecutive Saturdays and is scheduled when there are sufficient number of students. The instructors teaching this class are volunteer SCMA members who have passed the exam and have a mastery of specific subject areas. Many of them are Professional Engineers and/or have teaching experience. In the past, student attendees were alumni of Mapua Institute of Technology (now Mapua University), but at this time, we welcome on a space-available basis all disadvantaged individuals who aim to take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam. Check with the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists for requirements for EIT Certification.
