Volunteer

Thank you for volunteering to help in the work of our organization. There are several ways to volunteer. Examples are as follows:

1. Reach out to fellow alumni. Form or join a small “Affinity Group” of your batchmates, fraternity members, coursemates, sports buddies, or circle of alumni friends to make joining and participation with SCMA fullfilling and fun. Contact the Membership Committee for help in forming or joining an SCMA Affinity Group.

2. Organize small fundraiser events. Work with the Ways and Means Committee to host and organize a special fundraiser event. Examples of these events are Bingo, Mahjong, Bowling, Casino Trip and others where proceeds go directly fund our scholarship and education programs.

3. Help in assisting at major SCMA events. Volunteer to work at one of our major events. Examples of these events are Summer Picnic, Christmas Party, SCMA Golf tournament, NCAA-UAAP Basketball tournament, and Dinner-Dance. Contact the Ways and Means Committee for tasks that you can volunteer on.

4. Be an instructor, mentor or coordinator. We are in need of people who can help in our Education program.  We need instructors who can teach a course for our free the Engineer-in-Training Review classes or be a coordinator for these classes.  We also need mentors who can help young engineers in their career development. Contact the Education Committee for more information on these volunteer opportunities.

5. Share a ride with fellow alumni and friends. Carpool with fellow alumni and friends in attending meetings, fundraisers and events.
